Hi, I’m Tanya! I am a curious, open-minded, and compassionate psychologist who strives to understand each child individually. My main priority is to develop a nuanced understanding of a child’s experience and tailor the treatment to suit their needs and the needs of their family. I offer detailed assessments, and I am committed to evidence-based, high quality, and neurodiversity-affirming practices. This involves creating a safe space allowing children to be their authentic selves, while taking into consideration their needs for movement and sensory input. 

 

I find joy in working with children and adolescents to navigate life’s challenges and helping them achieve healthy emotional well-being. I have experience in supporting neurodivergent individuals as well as their families and work with a range of support needs such as depression, anxiety, stress, OCD, behavioural challenges, school difficulties, parenting challenges, communication skills, relationship conflict, and emotional regulation skills. My therapeutic approach draws upon Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-based techniques. My areas of interest and expertise include but are not limited to Autism, ADHD, depression, anxiety, behavioural interventions, emotional regulation, attachment difficulties, and strengthening family relationships.
