Our clinical supervision services are designed to guide and empower generally registered psychologists and registrars as they navigate the challenges and opportunities in their professional growth.

Tailored Supervision Plans: Designed to meet your unique needs, whether you are working towards your registrar program requirements or seeking to enhance your clinical expertise.

 

Experienced Supervisors: Our supervisors bring diverse expertise, offering insights across various therapeutic modalities, client populations, and practice areas. Our supervisors have a broad range of work experience including acute mental health services, hospitals, NGOs, private practices, schools, and clinical and executive leadership teams.

Focus on Competency Development: Guided by the Psychology Board of Australia’s eight core competencies, ensuring you meet professional standards and expectations.

Flexible Scheduling: Options for in-person or online sessions to accommodate your schedule and location.

 

Registrar Program Supervision: Comprehensive support to meet all registrar program requirements, including documentation and progress reviews. 

 

 

Who Can Benefit?

Our supervision services are ideal for:

 

Generally Registered Psychologists: Seeking support in clinical practice, skill development, or transitioning into a specific area of interest such as DBT-informed practice. 

 

Psychology Registrars: Working towards endorsement in clinical, counselling, health, forensic, or other areas of psychology. All of our supervisors hold endorsement as Clinical Psychologists, and can offer primary or secondary supervision for Clinical Psychology registrar programs, and secondary supervision for other endorsed areas of practice. 

 

Early-Career Psychologists: Navigating the complexities of building confidence and competence in the profession.

 

Established Psychologists: Developing or consolidating skills in clinical leadership and team management. 

 

At Willow Tree Psychology, external supervision provides a safe and confidential space for psychologists to discuss practice issues without the complications of workplace hierarchy. By reducing the risk of dual roles—such as receiving supervision from a current line manager—psychologists can engage in more open, unbiased discussions. This fosters professional growth, ethical decision-making, and enhanced client care.

 

Unfortunately, we currently do not have capacity offer supervision to those undertaking a 4+2 or 5+1 internship pathway outside of our practice.

Our team of approved supervisors is passionate about mentoring the next generation of psychologists. They are skilled in:

Evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, schema therapy, IPT, MCT, and more).

Working with diverse client populations and presenting issues.

Providing constructive feedback and practical strategies to enhance your clinical practice.
