Interest Areas

I have a special interest in approaches that help people make sense of long-standing patterns, own their experiences openly, and build clarity about themselves and what they need. My work is grounded in the belief that most people have a rational awareness of the problems they face, but haven’t been able to understand their emotional landscape with logic alone. My approach works best for clients who are interested in understanding the roots of their patterns and managing distressing symptoms.

My practice is affirming of LGBTQIA+ identities and neurodivergence, and I bring a deep respect for the ways culture, language, migration, and life transitions shape how we see ourselves and move through the world. Having lived and studied across different countries and languages, I understand what it means to navigate systems and spaces that weren’t built with you in mind. This lived experience helps me to work with empathy, compassion, and a willingness to explore challenging topics safely.

I acknowledge the privilege and responsibility of my role as a source of understanding and respect in a client’s life. My aim is to help my client develop greater self-awareness, clarity, and the confidence to act decisively to improve the quality of my client’s life and relationships.

My areas of focus include:

• Anxiety, depression, and other challenges in managing intense emotions
• Emotion dysregulation
• Complex trauma and PTSD
• Feelings of disconnection, emptiness, or uncertainty about who you are
• A harsh inner critic and self-criticism
• Relationship patterns that are emotionally overwhelming or deprived
• Sensitivity to rejection or abandonment in relationships
• Relationship challenges and anger that feels hard to control
• Identity, belonging, and self-understanding for LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent people
• Stress, life transitions, and existential challenges

I am trained in Level 1 Chairwork, Level 2 Schema Therapy for adults and children/adolescents (ST, ST-CA), and Body-Focused Schema Therapy (BFST). I am currently working towards standard certification in Schema Therapy under ongoing supervision. Additionally, I engage in ongoing training in relationally focused, psychodynamic approaches to deepen my understanding of transference and relational patterns in therapy. I also utilise other modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Integrated CBT (MiCBT), and Non-Directive Play Therapy to complement my approaches. Whenever possible, I combine somatic and sensory work with cognitive processing to manage issues like chronic tension, emotional numbness, overwhelming sensations, or feelings that seem absent altogether.
