Interest Areas

I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker abd Mental Health Therapist with over a decade of experience working across child and adolescent mental health. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of effective therapy, and I place a strong emphasis on building trust, genuine rapport and creating a space that feels safe, non-judgemental and affirming.

My approach is down-to-earth, collaborative and individualised, recognising that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I draw on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based approaches, tailoring therapy to each person’s needs, goals and experiences. I have specialist clinical experience supporting people experiencing emotional dysregulation, interpersonal difficulties and challenges associated with personality disorder.

Throughout my career in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, I have developed specialist experience through the Gender Clinic working with LGBTQIA+SB young people, including those exploring their gender identity, and am committed to providing gender-affirming care. I also provide a neuro-affirming therapeutic environment for people who identify as neurodivergent, with a focus on understanding and supporting each person’s individual strengths, experiences and needs.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child or your family, I aim to work alongside you to develop practical strategies, build on your existing strengths and support meaningful change in a way that feels manageable and authentic to you.

Areas of Interest:
I predominantly work with adolescents and young adults (12 < 25) in the areas of:

  • Anxiety (generalized and social anxiety).
  • Depression and low mood.
  • Emotion Regulation.
  • Interpersonal Relationship Difficulties.
  • Personality Disorders (specifically borderline personality disorder)
  • Supporting LGBTQIA+SB young people and their families as well as Trans, Non-Binary and gender diverse individuals.
  • Neurodivergence.
  • Childhood Trauma.
