Interest Areas

As a registered psychologist, I am dedicated to fostering well-being and growth for individuals across the lifespan. My practice spans children, adolescents, and adults, with a commitment to providing a person-centred, neurodiversity affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive therapeutic experience.

My professional experience predominantly included working collaboratively with neurodivergent individuals (e.g. Autism and ADHD) and their families to achieve their own personal goals and to enhance their overall quality of life. This involved creating a safe space in my sessions where they could be their authentic selves, while making accommodations for their sensory and movement needs.

In guiding individuals towards positive growth, I draw from a diverse set of evidence-based approaches. My therapeutic toolkit includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused ACT (TFACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). For younger clients, I may also integrate Play-Based Therapy, a dynamic method that fosters expression and development. Moreover, I am trained in LEGO®-Based Therapy, an evidence-based group program tailored to enhance social communication skills in children, all while authentically aligning with their unique neurotypes.

In addition to English, I am fluent in Cantonese (Chinese) and Mandarin (Chinese) at a conversational level. I warmly welcome clients with Asian backgrounds who may prefer to engage in sessions in Cantonese or Mandarin.

I also have experience in addressing a diverse range of concerns, including (but not limited to):

  • Anxiety, stress, and procrastination
  • Depression, low mood, and poor motivation
  • Emotion regulation difficulties
  • Social and behavioural management
  • Schooling/university difficulties
  • Perfectionism and people pleasing
  • Relationship issues and conflicts
  • Grief and loss
  • Self-esteem
  • Trauma
  • Sleep issues
  • Sexual and/or gender identity conflicts
  • Cultural identity conflicts
  • Sexual behaviours of concern
