Interest Areas 

I first developed an interest in psychology in my adolescence after watching my sister’s mental health deteriorate, and feeling at a loss for how I could support and understand her better. This desire to help her, developed into a passion to support other people and their families who are struggling with their mental health. After completing my undergraduate, and post-graduate studies, I have worked in a private practice setting since 2017, seeing clients of a variety of ages and clinical presentations.

 

I am a warm, non-judgemental, and compassionate psychologist who likes to take time to build a strong therapeutic relationship, which I believe builds a strong foundation for collaboratively developing a treatment plan, tailored to the individual’s needs. My therapeutic approach is primarily informed by cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy (ST), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. Additionally, I have a strong interest in mind-body approaches and creative therapies. I am an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, and I aim to provide an open and safe space for them to seek support.
