Interest Areas

I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the United Kingdom where I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2017. My core trainings are in Cognitive Behaviour (CBT), Systemic, Narrative and Psychodynamic therapies. I have completed additional training in Eye Movement Desensitisation Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Video Interaction Guidance, and Personalised Individual Parent Training. Additionally, I am trained in a range of group parenting programs. I have worked in leadership roles managing teams as well as in providing clinical supervision to qualified and trainee psychologists and CBT therapists.

Since qualifying as a psychologist in the United Kingdom, my work has been within child and adolescent, and parent-baby psychology services. This work has included supporting children and young people with a range of social, emotional and behavioural concerns as well as providing assessment, and therapeutic intervention for children with neurodevelopmental presentations such as Autism and ADHD.  Alongside this I have worked with adults with a range of difficulties in private practice. Much of this work has been in London where I have had the privilege of working with a truly diverse client group; socially, culturally, and in relation to gender and sexuality. This has led me to be competent at considering the importance of culture and identity in my therapeutic work.

I pride myself on being a compassionate, gentle, and patient therapist. I am a person-centred which means that I will take time to listen and understand the difficulties that have brought you to therapy, to develop a shared understanding of these, and to collaboratively develop a treatment plan.  I believe that one of the most important factors in meaningful and successful psychological therapy is the relationship. I am therefore committed to finding ways to engage and connect with the people I work with.

I am passionate about working with parents with younger children (under 5s) to address dilemmas and am trained in two evidence-based parent-child interaction therapies, as well as having a thorough understanding of infant and child development.  In addition to this I enjoy and am skilled in working with children and adolescents and aim to offer creative, playful and engaging therapies. When working with children and young people I will often involve parents/caregivers and utilise their expertise in their children to support my understanding of any concerns. When appropriate I will ask parents of younger children to collaborate with me as a co-therapist to maximise the success of psychological intervention.

I have a particular interest in working in the following areas:

  • Perinatal Mental Health
  • Under 5 issues (Sleep, Toileting, Behavioural Concerns, Separation Anxiety, Developmental delays)
  • Attachment Difficulties
  • Parental Mental Health
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Phobias and Panic Difficulties
  • Stress and Worry

  • Obsessive-Compulsive disorder
  • Social anxiety
  • Grief and loss
  • Low self-esteem
